Hi everyone.

Has anyone experience problems with a rattle in the top of the drivers door in an AU falcon. I can't work out what it could be and I am worried that Ford won't be able to fix it. What does everyone think?

Should still be under warranty... just take it back.

This rattle your talking about does it come from window channel seals and is the sound more of a chatter. I've got that problem too and some say abit of silicon spray or dry lube would fix the problem.

it could be either, just sounds like the window channel but yeah i will kill someone if they cant fix it. It is so annoying. You know with the chatter does that happen just when you go over bumps or what? BTW thanks for the replies.

I have an intermittent rattle somewhere in my AU11 ute as well, sounds like it's coming from the dash. Took it to the dealer and of course it would not make the noise when they looked at it, started again about half way home! Always the way:)

Yeah i still have worked out what my problem is, but if it keeps up ill have to trade the ute in on something else.

take it to the dealer we have a few known rattles from the door region

yeh i think i will soon when i get time, allready got my AU2 Fairmont going in for 2 Days with warranty work. HAHAHA

My sunnies rattle in the overhead holder and its hard to identify the direction of the noise till you know

I had a similar problem with my ute. It only rattled on certain roads, none near the dealer. It turned out to be the fuse box cover,(located just below the steering column on RHS)
