Au Dev 5 on way.

A handy increase in credit limit (yes I know its bad) has enabled me to put in an order for a dev5 cam etc.

So far I'm getting the feeling it's not meant to happen lol.

There was a bit of a mixup with the ordering not going ahead. Then today I find out that some of the bits in the kit (retainers ?) are out of stock.

Looks like it'll be all coming together by the weekend. As for the install I'm currently looking at prices to see who can do it for the best price.

I also need to get the Unichip redone as well to accomodate the cam. From what I'm aware there may be drama's with the current tune vs the difference with the cam ? I won't be doing the headwork yet but I still think I should see some reasonable improvement.

The install may not happen til new year but we'll see... Ideally I'd like it all done for the next WSID track day on the 30th Jan. I'm overly keen to drop the times on the car.

sounds good but does the insurance company think its also good? this is on credit so to cover yourself in an accident, i would be speaking to them first about it.

Re: Au Dev 5 on way.

The cam is on the c/card. It'll be paid off in no time. Xmas overtime will see to that.

I'll prob be looking at having to go to a specialist insurer once the cam is done. My insurer doesn't like aftermarket cams.

Last quote I did it was only gonna be about $50 more a year than what I currently pay so its no drama.

I got my bases covered on all that.

enjoy your car, insurance companys are thugs, dont tell them shit.....and its your credit you have to pay it back, spend it on what makes you happy....some go into hock for a lot more than a cam...

Exactly Mark, couldnt have said it better myself.
Loch, enjoy and go for it, its your money and a cam is hardly a bank breaker.

Not sure what insurance company you were talking about, but nrma seem to be happy for any mods done, as long as the value is added onto the insurance.

Try Shannons, I have both of my cars through them and you can do any mod you like, there rates are very reasonable aswell.
