cool au into ea question :-)

if i put an au engine in an EA will the engine mounts fit, also i heard that you need to modify the sump or something for it to fit.. is this true.. if so explain what needs to be done, who to do it, how much $ ??

Nah.
Use the EA mounts, tho the AU ones might fit, I didn't try.
The sump goes straight in, you might want to shave a bee's dick off the front rib so as to clear it from the square bar.

No it doesn't.
I didn't.
But you could use a file or an angle grinder, only needs to lose a mm or so.

whats a second hand AU motor go for these days? im getting a new computer soon, and i have a big-ass cam to go with it, will be setting the limiter to 6000rpm on a stock bottom end :D if it blows i will get a AU motor, use the bottom end with my head/cam etc and sell everything from the head gasket up.

rollin, im buying a written off car from an auction then just take the motor out of that... recently au cars have been going for $1000-$1500
