Is there a diff specialist who has done a transplant of either a Morse 9" or Ford 8-3/4 into a IRS AU??

Check out the current street machine... There is a company that has developed a casing that will adopt a 9" center and other components and let you keep your existing IRS setup on a commodore...I think the parts alone will cost you around $3600 + fitting. I think they are called Diff technics (02) 9587-9282. Give them a ring and see if they have anything for IRS fords.
