AU 'T' Snorkel

Gidday. A query that may have already been asked but has anyone noticed a benefit in changing over to the larger snorkel from the standard and maybe the part number? Also is it AU or BA Thanks

Re: AU 'T' Snorkel

Difference is minmal but for about $27 it cant hurt and looks better. The part is an AU part T-Series Air Intake - TAUTVE-9A624A - $27

Re: AU 'T' Snorkel

You mean the air intake off a XR compared to a base model ?

I've not long changed mine on the XR and its definately made it reach revs quicker and the g/f reckons the higher end pickup was noticeable. Whether or not this is the case I have not yet tried it myself. She caned it the same day to find out. It makes me so proud

Re: AU 'T' Snorkel

AU T series snorkel is the same part as the BA XR6T snorkel. The BA one just doesnt have the Tickford wings embossed into it (for obvious reasons).

Re: AU 'T' Snorkel

Did it on mine, difference in performance was noticable, but main reason i put it on was it looked better than the standard one. It only cost me $18 too

Re: AU 'T' Snorkel

The BA N/A ones are the same as the standard AU ones and the XR6T one is the same as the AUIII XR8 one mentioned previously but minus the Tickford wings.
