I have a BT1 series 3 and the height of the car is similar to a stock XR6.

I want to fit a 2 1/2" Exhaust system with hi-flo cat but don't want it to scrape on every driveway and speed bump in car parks etc.

The missus drives it daily and my SS used to scrape out over everything.

How do the 2 1/2" systems go for height on your car over speed bumps/driveways etc?

On a stock XR (ride hight) it wont scrape anything. I have a 2.5" system on mine and it has never touched anything.

I have a stock AU series 1 with super super Low King springs, pacmaker extractors, hi-flow cat and a full 2 1/2" system. It doesn't scrape on speedbumps, only with 4 people in it and on very sharp entry driveways it scrapes.

Make sure you tell the exaust guy to push the system up as far as possible.

Au1 XR6, 2.5" full exhaust, King Low springs and I can't say I've ever heard any scratching of the exhaust on normal driving. Speedhumps or anything. Its all good.

I have a pretty steep driveway to our units and if I take it easy its ok.

Ive got similiar problems because my car is lowered my exhaust just on the area of my cat and the muffler scraped abit. The design of fords exhaust i dont like alot. I was considering of changing it at one stage but i thought just a waste of money.
