AU XR6 - Air Filter Info.

Heya,

Not sure if anything has been poticed about this, im only a new-b :)

I have extractors & a exhaust kit put on a few weeks back & im looking at the air filter now.

Is it worth going something like a k&n ram pod or a k&n filter pad & replace the orginal ford one. I all ready have the upgraded tickford air-intake. Any other brands recommend?

It seems the XR6 engines run very hot & maybe using the k&n ram pod it would suck to much hot air in....?

Also would i get that sucking noise using something like that & what type of peformance gains would i get, if any....?

Thanks for your time!

Hi Memphis,

Welcome to the Forums.

This has been discussed off and on so I suspect you will get many replies. XR_ Strider_ Guy has done the mods longjohn1 talks about, send him a PM and he'll fill you in.
