AUII VCT engine block coolant drain plug??? - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Finally getting around to changing the coolant and I can't find a reference to a block drain plug in the manual. Does the inline six have a coolant drain plug on the engine block? Got to do this tommorrow so an answer from the knowledgeable ones would be great,

Why not disconnect the lower radiator hose/upper radiator hose and go for it?

That only drains about 10L of a 16L system.

I have also looked for the drain plug and have never seen one. The block might not have one, or it is in a stupid position.

I did the same but couldnt find one. In the end I flushed the whole thing by running the engine with a hose off until the water was nice and clear. Then I reattached everything and added the coolent concentrate and topped up the water and its all been good. No air locks, perfect temps.
