VCT on BA i6 ... chippable?

The quickest and probably best value mod is extractors/exhaust ... there are a number of people with kits already for the BA. Chips and cold air intakes? Dont' bother. Falcons have breathed from external (rather than hot engine bay) air for years, BA no exception. Chips are really only worthwhile once you start playing with mechanicals (ie. cams/head)... which brings up another question - does the VCT of the BA lend itself to 'chipping' (ie. infintely variable) or is it a simple '2 cam profile' system?
