BA XR6 Pistons
Just got me thinking, not that I am pondering this but i'm sure that there will be some sick minded people that might. But here goes:
How compatible with the Petrol engine are the LPG high lift pistons? Standard XR6 (BA182) engines come with pistons offering 9.7:1 (or is it 9.5, i can't quite remember). Anyway, the LPG unit comes with 10.7:1 and the XR6T comes with 8.7:1.
Naturally upgrading to a 10.7:1 ratio would require premium (95RON+) fuel, but are they likely to be different in any other way (different material etc) due to being for the LPG E-Gas engines?
What sort of performance increase would this see (speculations please) and why couldn't it be done?
Also what the hell units are those ratios in... Is that like 10.7 atmospheres of pressure if ambient is 1 atmosphere? or something else?
