BBM - How much more power does it produce?

ive read billions (yes billions) of post saying that the bbm gives a decent amount of power/torque increase but exactly how much more.

does anyone have any dyno graphs or figures quoting how much of an increase they make?

EDIT: This is compared to a stock ea/eb1 mpfi manifold.

I have done the conversion and it actually lost about 2kw at high revs.
At low to mid revs however it gained around 40nm of torque.

14.410 @ 96.49mph with street radials.

It gives extra power down low, not up high.

EA/EB/ED manifolds flow better and get more power up high.

Broad Band Manifold - the intake manifold such as that on the EF onwards.

It has dual runners that allow for a broader range of intake settings pending on throttle position, and is supoosed to allow more torque and power especially down across the rev range.

BBM is the inlet manifold on the EF/EL 6's. It produces more torque than the EA/EB/ED manifold, and is a popular upgrade for some.

Actually the switch point is RPM dependant, not throttle dependant.

...a question along the lines of "I'm stuck" to Soxx or other guys who've already done a BBM conversion....


I've just retro-fitted an EF donk into an XE. BBM switching can be controlled by the Haltech but i need to get an appropriate solenoid.

What type/brand solenoid did you use to activate the BBM diaphragm/actuator?
