i asked in an email if theres room for existing extractors and if it would be better with EFI manifold, and whether LPg would be ok so if Greg replies i'll post the results, upto 40% increase sounds impreesive for $2000

been doing a bit of research into this. Found this, which has a bit of info on the superchargers used in the kit: http://www.alsc.aus.as/messages/3/2333.html?1025255407 there's a bunch of links at the bottom of the page too.
One of the import wreckers www.justjap.com has the SC14 (1ggze) type from $350, and the largest type intercooler for $395, so I'm thinking of running it with a gas research setup on the EFI manifold.
As it says in streetmachine the super is designed for stock engines, and I'm sure cranking the boost over a few psi (in a 4.1L engine) will be pretty much the limit of flow. With some extractors, and a cam it'd be pretty close.
Also, I didn't realise that my XE engine only puts 64kW at the wheels, sounds pretty pathetic!!

i use to make and sell sc14 charger kits for the v6 commodores ( buick not ecotec) and they are getting at their limit on the 3.8, on the 4 litres they would be pushed out of their league and out of their efficiency range.

don't forget the 4.1 only revs to about 4500rpm standard probably be ok i reckon(not an expert so don't take my word 100%)

There is no way these are big enough! they can only produce 3-4lb boost on a 3.8L V6 making 120 at the treads at 100% max, there is no way they can flow any more air than that so on a falcon theyre would be no gains whatsoever, the measy 1lb boost it may make if your lucky will be sacrificed by the engine having to work harder to try and turn the supercharger, complete waste of time on a 4L falcon. BTW i have been in a VP v6 that has had this kit and it was pretty ordinary... any manual na I6 with a few mods would smoke it!!! and they make a very loud awful noise when they switch on....
