CAI for XF Carby

Hey guys

Just wondering if anyone has completed a cold air intake setup for a XF Falcon with a 250xflow Carburettor engine? If anyone has could you please describe/show/explain how you did it? I had a quick look this afternoon and there seems to be absolutely no room to run a pipe from the front bar to the air filter. I am currently running a Redline air filter (Rectangular shape) and would like to get some more cold air into it, if required I could show you guys pics of my current setup and you could draw or explain how you ran a CAI in your XF. Is there any other way besides using a bonnet scoop because I don't want to attract undue or unwanted attention from the boys in blue.

Thanks

Re: CAI for XF Carby

common way to do CAI for carby is to replicate the input to the aircleaner housing on the opposite side and pipe both of them to behind each headlight, or further out the front is possible.

Re: CAI for XF Carby

I wouldn't even bother. On an EFI motor you really only gain 1 or 2kw with a CAI. The XF's snorkel runs to front of the car anyway. So, in effect it acts like a CAI anyway.
