Economy isnt too bad i get about 550-600km out of a tank. thats freeway driving. If you start driving it hard and in peak traffic, im looking about low 400's. Performance; I havent really noticed alot of difference besides the car reving alot more freely and better top end speed. Driveablitly; shes nice to drive; be even better once i do the shockers. bit of a bumpy ride atm.

Personally I would get a JMM DEV3 HL cam, but others here have had good results from the Wade cams too.
Whatever you get, make sure you get the matching valve springs (if required), and the vernier gear to clock it up properly.

thanks alot xrlent good luck with the fairmont ! let me know how you go with the cam , soxx seems to be the expert with the six thanks again
I have the DEV3HL in my car and it works well enough with my pacemakers so it will probably still go well with the Herrods extractors although they would'nt be my first choice.
Expect to pay $1000 for the JMM cam, valve springs, shims and vernier gear.
You could save a lot of money money by going for a Wade 1004 112 which won't need the valve springs but It will not give anywhere near the same power increase.
Certainly make a call to Wade and JMM, search a few of the FF cam posts and make up your own mind what suits you and your car

Whats a Dev 3HL give... 140-150kw??? well a wade 1004@112 gives around 140 as well!
Take for example qwikcorty's 3.9L EA MPFI... 300,000kms, manual and it pulled 135 from memory... with those rwkw's he pulled a 14.8 with a diff change! No where near your figures... i beg to differ

At the end of the day it comes down to how much money and performance you want, in my opinion I would go a wade came, they are very good for the price, and also get yourself a vernier gear.

At the end of the day I have to say that a cam and kw only get you so far...What really counts is what the biggest torque you can produce...and how low in the rev range you can get it...For example if there were 2 cars the same one produced 450 nm of torque at 3000rpm and levelled off and the other produced 450 nm of torque at 1000rpm and then flattened out ,it stands to reason that the guy producing maximum torque quicker will blow the other guys doors off.It is a big shame that performance manufacturers focus on terminal rwkw and not the torque along the way.I had to ask myself while watching recent dynoruns why everyone was so focused on rwkw instead of torque figures throughout the rev range. Its funny becauseI did ask this question and the guys running the day agreed with me..but the star of the event was the rwkw again???
