Question Cam timing/ high compression pistons

Has anyone ever mucked about with cam timing at all. I had an xd with a 4 spd manual and when i did the motor i skimmed the head and block, balanced it all. put 3.3litre flat top pistons on 4.1 rods, efi cam and 4 degrees of advance on the cam. With a standard exhaust and single barrel down draught carb it went like snot. It was good for 200ks. I usually ran on lpg so the compression ratio wasnt a prob. Has anyone tried any of this stuff on an ea ?
Ive got a 3 speed auto, anyone with a tacho tell me what revs you are at at 120 in second?

Dave.

If it aint broke then dont fffffffix it!
My advice may not be worth much, but at least it's free!

The following thread may be of some relevance. http://discussions.fordforums.com/sh...ghlight=timing

About the revs, I would estimate (very approximately) about 4000 rpm at 120 in 2nd. You may be able to work it out based on the specifications in eafalcon.com.
