Basically im after some info on what type/performance/ fuel use difference that can be expected from diiferent cams.
I dont know much about these, and money is a major factor(as usual)
Im after some thing mild, enough to make a difference in accelleration but. Make a bit more fun,&add confidence against mates cars
Should i go something like a DEV3 cam, crow, or crane?
Will the difference be noticeable? rwkw expected?
What %increase in fuel consumption can be expected from this?
Oh and rough prices if possible,
Any personal experience will be great.
Cheers
Jase

I used a Crow in my EB Fairmont 6. Went from 123rwkw to 142rwkw with no mods to computer. Cant remember what model cam it was, but rung crow and tell them what you want, they will custom grind the right cam fro you. Cost $290.
Got another 60klms from a full tank on the highway.
Got 20klms less around town, but i used to flog it. :-)

check here for my failed attempt to actually try and compare the available cams on a dyno in the same car on the same day for the benifit of all FF I6 users...
Yes, i really noticed a difference from about 2300rpm all the way to 5000. The whole characteristics of the car changed, and that could be seen by the power curve on the dyno graph. Also took the car from a 14.9qtr to a 14.5.
