Cams and surging

Howdy folks.
When under mild acceleration I can feel the motor surging as if the throttle is being very gently depressed and released as the revs build up. This is not noticeable under hard acceleration or idle. The cam is similar to xr6 plus bigger valves. Any ideas on that one?
Also, Im interested in a better performance cam that will take full advantage of head mods. Anyone prepared to divulge thier best cam secrets?
Lastly, does the EF/EL dual runner manifold have any significant performance benifits?
Thanks for your time, Kev.

Hmmm hey Kev... Ive got a problem similar to that on my EB. Ive put an ED XR cam in (Well ive been told is an XR, could be a regrind as the ident marks have been filed off) and i have problems bit time with mine. Difference is, i get mine under full acceleration... I need to check fuel pressure but im thinking its a regulator problem or a ignition/fuel map problem. Am getting a remaped chip shortly.. will see how that goes :)

Brent, Im taking the car to an EFI specialist next week and will let you know what they find. This bloke says they can also do the Delco with Kalmaker setup. Might be expensive though. We'll see.
