I can't release timing chain.
tried with 3mm alen key with a tube
but no luck.
is there any other way to do it.
if I take out retainer, can I do it?
how much is Ford special tool?
just use a punch and hammer and tapp it anti clock wise and the whole thing will unscrew, be carefull its spring loaded

Performance Mods : air filter removed, fuel filter removed, some guards taken off for weight reduction.
i found it easier to use a normal allen key and a small screw driver. It pushes in about 5 or 6 mm then turn anti-clockwise, if you just turn it, it will not budge

I have a cam tensioner on my desk right here.Believe me you do need some considerable pressure to release it.But you dont have to.Just unbolt the whole assembly and pull it out
If you push it in more than a couple of mm it won't release,
just turn it anti-clockwise with a normal allen key, they take a bit of pressure but they do release.
I've only done about 150,000 of them this way in the factory
