Re: Can't release timing chain EF

i found it easier to use a normal allen key and a small screw driver. It pushes in about 5 or 6 mm then turn anti-clockwise, if you just turn it, it will not budge

I have a cam tensioner on my desk right here.Believe me you do need some considerable pressure to release it.But you dont have to.Just unbolt the whole assembly and pull it out

Re: Can't release timing chain EF

If you push it in more than a couple of mm it won't release,
just turn it anti-clockwise with a normal allen key, they take a bit of pressure but they do release.
I've only done about 150,000 of them this way in the factory
