EAO WORM

I have 5 vehicles running on this and all 5 seem to using and burning oil.
They are:
92 3.0ltr V6 Pajero 240,000km
94 EF XR6 120,000km
98 MITS TRITON V6 180,000km
86 XF 4.1 110,000 (since reco motor)
86 Nisssan Z22 in 720 ute (15,000 since reco motor)
I beleave this oil is cooking the rubber seals in all these engines and am wondering if anyone else has had this prob.

I have a B XR6 and my pop has a B futura and we are bith running Castrol Magnatex in them but have both only had new oil in for about 2000km so far not probs, both cars have only about 17,000km on them. I check the oil in the xr weekly at worst as i do about 800km a week and it seems fine so far,

i will be keepin an eye on it though...

looking at the km's the cars have on them like the pajie and the triton they may need an oil with a higher viscosity being an older engine ( higher K;s)

i also have an explorer with 180,000km on it and i run shell helix, "older enginer" oil, in it, it for engines over 200,000km and supposidly puts a coating through the engine to help older motor. it has a viscosity of 25w 60

maybe this sort of oil would be better suited for them...

just bcoz it gets a load of advertising to fool people inot buying it because it sticks to ur pistons to protect on startup....why dont u put some decent oil in ur motors like penrite HP series and let ur car warm up for a few mins before you go anywhere in the morning like everyone should be doing.....

I have heard bad things about it, but all my vehicles have over 150 000kms on them, so i also use 25/60, try it.

Personally, I would never put it in my engine. All I can see it doing is keeping the carbon and other impurities "magnetised to the engine" i.e. stuck in the bearings. No thanks.

yeah same i have heard the same thing, aparently mobil are the only guys who garentee like 10,000 or something like that, I have always used shell helix and thinking about changing to mobil
