well at least one of my engine mounts are dead. i took off today and ripped a nice burnout and then noticed my car was really rough in high revs. pulled over and had a look in the engine bay, my engine is on a slight angle! i will take some photos tomorrow.

anyway is it easy to change engine mounts? is it as simple as using a standard car jack to jack up the engine and ubolting the mounts and bolting in the new or is there more i need to know?

yea, its easy as...

i jacked the car up, and had the front on stands..

i then used my trolley jack and a flat piece of timber and gently lifted the engine...

it didnt take too long either.

well i cant be bothered uploading pics but i changed one of them today on the exhaust side. i pulled it out and it was completely snapped in two. the other side is also the same. but i didnt change it because it looks a bit hard to get to up underneath the intake. i'm taking my car to mechanics tomorrow to do it and also check that my cars ok since the engine was on an angle. i think its leaking oil from the back... possibly the rear main seal or something? eekk

Its normally the drivers/exaust side that breaks.
The newer type have more steel as heat sheilding.

Changing the passenger side mount is a bit harder. When I did it, I had to remove the intake manifold (fun job :). Unless someone wiser than me has managed to remove the mount without taking the intake manifold out?, thats what you will have to do. Good Luck
