pays to have your radiator pulled apart and serviced.. I recently snapped the outlet tube off due to deteriation on my wifes 6cyl EL falcon, 156,000kms.
This is what the radiator guy found when the tank was removed.. in car flushing would never remove this build up.. i was running the temp between R and O (the word NORMAL) on the gauge now it dont go over A.. what a difference.. 50% radiator blockage...

yeah ive been thinking with the warmer weather here it would be a good time to get the radiator flushed but after seeing that i think a replacement is on the cards.

A very common problem. We've had them with up to 80% blocked!
Another trick to help E-series cooling systems is to fit a 15psi radiator cap (stops the plastic tanks from bursting) & also drill a 3mm hole in the thermostat. This allows a bit of by-pass & also prevents air-locks & thermostat thumping.
