i'm look at making up some sort of cold air intake into my MPII EA
and was wonder what's the best way to do it.. it rains alot up here at times and don't want to much water or duct to be sucked in...


and if anyone could post some pictures of theirs...

just off the topic has anyone put a short shifter in for their T 5 or do you know where i can get one from

Hey mate, easiest way for CAI for your EA is to get an XH Snorkel and a K&N panel filter.

Id put a EF filter lid on, and run the hose (that comes out the back of it) through the wheel arc, or out under the front bar(bit tricky).
Id then put a pod filter inside your airbox to help minimise water intake.

Think that works, ill have a look at my cars later.

Sorry to steal your thread but im also in the process of doin cold air intake on an EL Fairmont Ghia, So far i have added the T-series snorkel, a BMC Pod filter (mounted in the box) and encreased the size of the pipe from the box to the first elbow to about 3.5"; however i still cant get that real cold air intake sucking sound that i want. Any ideas would be great.

On my EL XR6 i had the pod out of the box, sounded great when the engine bay was cold, could hear it sucking no problem. But when the engine bay heated up the sound stoped and the filter wasnt as effective.
