i finished converting my xf carby to efi today. everything was pretty easy, the hardest part is feeding the wiring harness through the firewall. the only thing ive got to do is connect the kickdown cable, but i got the efi of a manual xf so do i need anytihing else to connect it up or should it connect straight up? a picture of how it goes would help.

ahhhh this could come in handy for me. ive got a carby XF column auto. maybe you could write up a thread on what parts are required, what problems you encounterd and anything else of interest.
hows it running?

i got all the parts i needed of a fairmont xf. i picked the car up for 200 bucks with efi, lsd, manual and pedders lowered suspension. ripped everything of it and put it on my car. im still to do the manual conversion. for the efi conversion u need the efi setup, fuel tank coz the efi cars have their fuel pumps in the fuel tank, and the wiring harness. pulling apart the dash wasnt that hard just follow the manual. theres 2 wiring looms u need, one thats connected to the computer and the other plugs in above where ur peddals are. its just a matter of pulling them out and putting them in your car, then put all the efi setup on ur car and plug it all in.

and im guessing panelvans have a different tank than sedans?

i guess they would coz anything i ever buy or own just turns out to be damn hard to mod, fix, or better!!
