Hi,

Does anyone have experience with the Crow Cams 'Performance Pack' ? It includes Cam, Chip, Vernier Camshaft Gear, Ignition Leads.

I am thinking about getting one for an AU XLS 6cyl Ute and was wondering if anyone knew much about them.

Mate,

We sold a guy a Vernier Gear/Cam today at AutoBarn for $560 and that was a mild cam as well. Not sure about the chip but he was happy as a pig in shit when we gave him the price, as we beat Crow Cams RRP. The leads, well we can also sell you a set depending on size 8mm/8.8mm in Topgun for around $50-$80

The guy at crow quoted around 1800. The pack had 8mm Spiral Wound High-Performance Leads.

He quoted around 130 or so rwkw.

I think its suposed to be stage 3 or something like that.

Do you guys sell anything like that ?

i want a cam and maybe a vernier cam gear, has to be bigger than a XR6 cam and i dont mind if its huge (bigger the better i want it to hammer all the way to the cutout at 5500) will get a chip/reprogram the computer to suit the cam

what do you sell and can i get the same stuff up here in QLD?

The Leads are from ICE Ignitions in Melb. They are suposed to settle Idle problems. The kit is advertised in Street Machine in their In Gear section.

try giving jim mock motorsport a call in melbourne about cams. Might be worth a look if you are asking around. He is supposed to be the best on paper

yeah i already have their extractors and plugs but they want huge $$$ for a cam and i was hoping for a less pricey upgrade - have to see what 4th year pay is like though, if it is decent then i might be able to justify the price...

Jim Mock Quoted me the following prices;

Vernier Cam Gear $180
Valve springs $220
Cam Between (between Dev 4 & 5) $490
Headers $400
.025" (25 thou) steel head gasket $100

I have put the head gasket and headers on, teh rest is coning to in a few months.

I love what it has done.

Yeah those are some good prices, the Dev kits this bloke puts out are incredible packages. Its amazing what you can get out of I6 when you put some thought into it, especailly when all you see these days is Commodore this Commodore that upgrades and deals. Bout time this kits were made for the Falcs.
