We've all heard how the non believers say the kits don't work but can anyone who has fitted one please respond here with

* what rwkw rating they did get

*what variation in the claimed power was achieved|(if it varied)

* what they did over the 400m if they ran it

* what series car the kit was fitted to?

* was it a kit or just the cam that was fitted ?

I don't want a sledging match just a basic run down of what you got when you outlaid your money. From a service point of view I can't fault the guys.

I'm still pretty keen on the purchase but doing the homework doesn't do any harm. At this stage I haven't even spoken to any other cam grinders.

1 - 138rwkw, but at the time we weren't aware the speed limiter was holding back the revs to 5300. The way the power was still climbing we estimated it to be approx 143kw.

2 - 3kw.

3 - Never tried, but it could could out grunt (just) my friends 200kw AU XR8.

4 - 97 XH ute.

5 - Complete kit.

It's important to install it properly and to the letter, as installing the cam as little 2 degrees out makes quite a difference.

Money well spent.

I fitted the Dev3HL cam, HD Valve springs and vernier from JMM to my AUII Auto wagon which already had Pacemaker extractors and 2.5" exhaust fitted a few months back and I am very happy with it.

Last dyno run saw 142rwkw @ 4600rpm same problem as SOXX they could rev it to peak output in third because of the speed limiter. The Dyno chart is posted up in my gallery. I had another dyno run of 138rwkw before so it varied betwwen dynos 4kw.

The stock car was dynoed at 106rwkw before the pacemakers which brought it up to 116rwkw.

I have only run the car once on the 1/4 dead stock it ran 16.8 best. I am hoping to get it back on WSID again later this year and see what it will do.

Its an AUII Auto wagon.

I didn't get the kit just mail ordered the cam and vernier with the shims and valve springs. JMM were good to deal with over the phone an delivery was fine.

It cost me $1000 all up incl freight and was good value for me at least 20rwkw for $1000. Thats better than the pacemakers 10rwkw for about the same incl exhasut and fitting though.

im going the dev3hl very soon to mean and my vechile it sounds like the best option for just a bit of added power on a daily driver
