diff gears for i6

hi guys didnt know weather i should post this here or in trans/driveline
i was wanting to know if anyone has fitted 3.7 gears to there 5 spd i6 (currently running 3.23) what is 1st gear like?is it to short?
according to my trip computor my car gets its best econ between 2500 to 2900 since ive done some mods .so 5th gear open road cruising running 3.7 should be right where i want it, just worried about what 1st will be like.

I dont know about you but the weather here got to about 35c and a little bit windy.

i have 3.7LSD gears in my car, 1st gear goes to 50, i tend to get the jump on the start but loose a liuttle due to teh little earlier gear shift, however 2nd and 3rd gear absolutely make up for it for absolutely awsome acceleration (if i dont fry tyres for most of that time)

i rekon 3.7 are a great upgrade option

btw i came from 3.08s

between 5000 and 5500 ... i tend not to overrev in 1st gear, but to be truly honest i cant say exactly as i tend to watch the track rather teh tacho
