hey all.
just after any info on the ea falcons built with turbo kits from AIT.
how many were made, what there worth etc etc

i have one of the ea ait turbo falcons aswell i dont no a whole lot about them but post up some questions and ile c if i can answer them for you

AIT kits were worth about 3 grand. They were an aftermarket kit sold but were not too popular. They claimed 180kW and 6.5sec 0-100km and 14.5 quarter. Mike Webb used them in his SVO EA. Think 7 psi. They used an extra injector and aux computer. Small front mounter intercooler. I have an ad somewhere but have to did it up.

Oh, the manifold's are cast alloy and are prone to crack. The original Garrett Normalair manifolds where made of cast iron and are heavy and do not crack however are suited to the 4.1L Ford 6 not the 4.0L Ford 6.

yeah mine is the same as that one in the thread. twin rail injectors + to4
not as great as there made out to be.
i have an eb turbo and now the ea turbo to compare

the cast manifold was cracked, ur right.

exhausts are sooo quiet because of the mufflers.

hooked up a cooler and did the usual spark plugs, leads, dizzy, and coil replace. is now running ok

when u say kits were made does that mean not all of them were fitted by shops?

That's right. The had a few distributor around fitting them. They were put on but not popular. They wen't as fast as the VN V8 5 Speed. Mick Webb managed a 14.1 sec quarter in a EA SVO AIT T03 Turbo with 7 psi.
