Dose anyone know why in the mornings or a cool day my car runs fine(slight miss) but on a warmer day it shakes like hell??

Shakes? Can you describe it a little more? Is the engine missing on the warm days? (No, it's right where I left it - BOOM BOOM!)

ive got the same thing with my EA. When its cold it idles fine slightly rough but when its hot it idles like a V8! and kinda rough. Just thought it was cause i had a tired motor

It would seem like there's a clue in the.. 'slight miss'.. pippen has, and the.. 'slightly rough'.. idle InitialD has when their engines are cold.

With all things working as they should, an EA will start, idle and get off the mark very well, even when cold.

Are all 'the basics' up to scratch? Plugs. leads and so on.. When was the car last serviced and filters changed? All that stuff..

Is the spare wheel half flat?

What I'm getting at is, keep things up to scratch and little problems don't become big problems.

Its the same, well better LPG setup that was used by Tickford in there EB2 onward installations. My current system consists of a IMPCO 300a Mixer and Model B2 Converter. The Tickford Setups were a IMPCO 220A (think) Converter and a IMPCO Model E Converter. For some reason with my current setup my car pulls alot quicker than any other CFI EA ive ran against.

Your setup seems to be very similar as the setup my son and I put on his car.
Is yours a 300A convertor, (replacing the injector ring and injectors) on top of the throttle body?

My son's car drives much better, and the fuel consumption is almost the same as when it was on petrol (but at a third of the price of course).

As with my son's car, your lumpy idle when cold may just due to being LPG with no fast idle setting when cold.

Yea The Fuel Consumption is due to its a V8 Mixer. And Yes it replaced the injectors and ring with a large 8" Mixer, since my car is straight LPG. Does your sons EA have a Idle Speed Controler (that DC motor thing) on it? See my car doesnt have it so the Idle speed is kinda locked at what i set the grub screw to. I was thinking of pluging in one but wasnt sure if it would work since the injectors are gone.

No, we took the idle speed controller off and the idle setting is just via the grub screw, like yours.

Apart from idling a bit low for a few minutes when cold it doesn't seem to matter.
I've thought about putting it back on and controlling it manually via a dash switch, but it hasn't seemed necessary.

You'd be one of the few mate.
That said, the EA I've been talking about here doesn't have many problems, but it does get regular servicing.
But maybe your day will come.. :)
