After getting chipped on inspection every year with the rocker cover gasket leaking. My Father came up with a inexpensive fix.


Put a washer under each of the 4 blind nuts that hold the cover down, it puts more pressure on the gasket without botteming out the nut.

On the Au2 I Had a bit of oil leaking above No. 3 spark plug and also at the little notch at the front of the rocker cover.

I took it to an independant mechanic (not ford dealer - even though car is under warranty).

he said it didnt need a new gasket, he said he just 'nipped' it. i dunno exactly what the details where, but its stopped leaking now.!!

This independant mechanic also helped remove alot of my suspension clunks that the ford dealer was unable to remove.
