Hi,

I have an EA II S_Pack. When I turn on the ignition I usually hear the fuel pump start up and run for about 2 seconds. Sometimes I don't hear the fuel pump start and then of coarse the car won't kick over. Some times there is a 5 - 10 second delay before the pump starts and other times I can get it to start by turning the ignition on and off a few times. The fuel pump has also stopped a couple of times when driving....not nice.

Here is the weird bit. I have changed both the fuel pump and the fuel pump regulator over with 2nd hand ones from the wreckers and it still does it?

What more can I do?

i had a problem with my fuel pump too and part of it was the relay, so getting a new one of those might solve ya problem

I use to have the same problems with my fuel pump when I first bought my EAII. I got a new fuel pump and no more problems.

Try checking the wire pins inside the relay plug, the try changing the relay if that didn't help. Almost guarantee that's the problem...

I'll try another relay. What's the bet that the one I got from the wreckers is also dodgey. I'll try this and let you know.
