Just a quick question. Are E-series fuel pumps all the same? I can get a new EL pump for $50 but not sure if it will fit EA (90% sure but had to double check). I know that CFI and MPFI are different but are any MPFI ones different??

No, same flow. EF/L run a higher pressure, but that is controled by the fuel regulator, the pumps EA/EL MPFI are the same.

I installed an EL pump into my EA, no difference of course but I figured it should improve things since it had done less kms.

Sorry guys , it was in the local paper and even i missed out. Some people over here get the trading post a day earlier than everyone else so a lot of bargains get snapped up the day before release. I start work at 5.30am so usually i can get most cheapies. I'd be stockpiling if i could get them new and that price all the time.
