Question EB 4.0 into EA S 3.9 CFI - How much trouble?

Just wondering how much trouble I'd be in for if I tried to fit an EB's 4.0 engine, gearbox, and maybe the anti-theft stuff while I'm at it, into an EA series II S-pack with the CFI engine.

Basically I'm considering forgiving the debt of the guy who wrote off my old car (a ZL Fairlane) in exchange for his EB wagon wreck, which would give me a complete engine (sans radiators), transmission, ECU, etc, from an EB, complete with factory immobiliser.

So has anyone done a change like this before, or know just how much would be involved in such a task? I realise the ECUs would have to be switched, and probably 2 or 3 more harnesses wired into the EA... but is it feasable?

it would probably be easier to strip the EA and transfer every peice/looms etc from the EB into the EA Shell.

I'm taking that as a, "Yes, it's possible, but you're setting yourself up for a long, long operation in the process." Thanks for replying anyways, John - Appreciate the input. Guess I'll be sitting with what I've got until I can afford to get myself a DL or similar.

From experience - it can be done. I took a wrecked ED and put all the goodies needed into my series I EA Ghia. Two weeks, a lot of puzzled looks from onlookers, making own looms and other little headaches - I got there.

See my post to NokiaKing for one of the small things you will need to do re: Smartlock (unless the EB is a series I - no smartlock).
