Hi all

Can someone please tell me the correct tuning setting for a EB Falcon 6. It has a carby and points. Car is a auto. Not electrical distributor and no EFI.

Just after the following:
Points Gap?
Timing Degree?
Spark Plug Gap?

NO manual with the car and trying to tune it properly but don't know the exact gaps.

Any any other useful info to setup for long distance driving.

sounds like a oddball/bush mechanics EB....

dwell angle ~34-36 degrees, i dont know what the points gap would be....

timing ~8-10 degrees BTDC

spark plug gap ~ 0.8mm?? as its not electronic anymore which had 1-1.1mm gaps...

Just pulled the plugs out and the gap is much bigger than 1.1 will give the .8 a go.

if its not running too rough and both dwell angle and timing is correct, giv .85 or .9 a go as usually the bigger the gap the better, until a point of course when it misfires and runs inconsistantly

Have modified the Plugs to be .85 and the timing to be 9 degrees and it runs really well now.
