EB pulley onto EL water pump - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I'm having a bit of an issue with clearance between the thermos and the thread for the clutch fan, just wondering if an EB pulley will fit onto an EL pump?

If not, anyone got an angle grinder I can borrow this week?

I have about 8-19mm clearance Rob, is yours hitting?
Try elongating the holes in the fan shroud so you can move it to one side a little.

It has a tiny bit of clearance, say maybe 6 mm, which is great when I'm idling. But obviously hard launches and stuff are hitting it, there's grind marks on the fan and one of the wires has been chewed a bit.

A hacksaw would also do the job

Naw, a hacksaw didn't do the job. It got through the outside threaded bit alright, but wouldn't cut when I got to the inside.

lol it was the first thing I tried, and I don't have an angle grinder.

Go to super cheap and buy one for $20.
mine has lasted ages and done a fair bit of work to.
