ecu for engine upgrade??
hey i want to run an el engine with a 5 speed in my ea and know that smartlock will be an issue so ive found out about the castle auto elecs smartlock bypass kit. With this kit can i run any el 5 speed ecu or do i need a specific one? In theory i think it shouldn matter which one i run because the bypass sends the signal to the ecu so central locking,power windows and all that shouldnt affect it...thats what i assume but does anybody out there know for sure???
