Hey guys

I have a mate Who is very interested in doing a conversion on his fairmont

Currently its got the standard Straight 6 (with auto tranny) But He Wants To put a Ford xr6 Turbo motor in it!.

Any guys out there who have done this yet??.....What needs doing? any mount work? etc etc. I know Engine loom alterations are in place aswell as a bit of stuffing around Getting it to accomidate . The Bell housings the same?

if all else fails Im guessing he will just modify the existing engine. But a dohc 24V motor would be alot better.

you will have to do motor and gearbox complete with wiring harness. It will bolt to your crossmember i am led to beleive. that old auto would last 10 secs if you got it to work.

Up For Grabs Today Is An BA XR6 TURBO MOTOR removed from a 2004 BA XR6 Turbo it is in excellent condition and has only been removed because the car was crashed. The accident has not affected the motor at all.

The motor comes complete with the turbo & manifold and the ecu and wiring loom.! The Motor has done 20,000kms.
