EF/EL - Just out of curiosity..

Recently I was bored and just going over my motor with a 10mm spanner.. And looking at the design of the intake manifold, how its bolted onto the block.. Dident seem to great, So I just checked to see if any of the bolts were loose. I found that ALOT of the bolts were loose and I could get half a turn or maybe more from most of them. This could be why I am receiving such bad idle.. seeing as I cleaned my ISC and that dident do anything. After tightening the bolts it seems a little better.

Point to this post? I am wondering if anyone elses EF/EL has done this as not to many people would check to see if it was on tight..

Oh well, let me know

Rob

Re: EF/EL - Just out of curiosity..

If there is any air being sucked in after the air flow meter you will be having problems, my mate had a small gap in the piping after his AFM on his VL, only about 5mm long and 1mm wide, his car idled really rough, put a bit of silicone over it and it idled really well. You might be having similar problems by the sound of it.
