I'm thinking of an engine rebiuld as my current head is about to go to the pearly gates of the engine heaven.
I was wondering if it's possible to fit an EF/EL XR6 head on EAs 3.9 block. Would it be a bolt on job or would it require some modifications.
Has anyone done this???

I've already got an EF manifold on it with cold air intake. Rewiring should't be a problem cos I've got a Unichip, so it's only a matter of getting the Unichip tuned up on a dyno.

Yep, its a straight bolt on. Might be an idea to use a thinner head gasket to get the compression up a bit. Even without it, you should notice some very nice improvements.
