hey guys i have been poking arround the site for a while and i have had the electronic shift kit in my EF for a while now and i have struck a problem the other day i was pulling out of work and i noticed that my gearbox was manulised for example if i put it in drive it was stuck in drive but if i put it in first it was in first and wouldnt change to second i manually did it! this is the same with all the gear changes also it would chearp 1st to 2nd witch i thought that was pretty cool anyway being curious y it is doing this i had a look at the resistors and one of them had blown up! and every time i replace it it would last five minutes than boom fully manulised again has anyone got any ideas whats going on?

how many watts are the resistors?

wouldnt have a clue actually!
plus when i find out whats causing the super hard shift i will be sure to post it on here so you can have 3 settings with the shift

hey there, you wouldnt happen to know what ohms value the resistor is would you? where abouts do you put it to make the shifts stronger? its not bad for the transmition to have it shift too hard is it?
sorry bout all the questions, but i also have a shift kit, and although its worked fine, i have never been able to get the claimed "chirpy" out of it. but i think thats cos my car is just gutless anyway

as for the problem, mine started to be weird for a bit, and i found that it was cos i was lazy with the connections, maybe you should check thoes out. but i'm sure u already have anyway.

i will have a good look this weekend witch resistor blows and makes it do this!
mind you its only after the resistor blows that this happens!

and tell us which resistor to take out for it manulised!!!!! this sounds interesting, maybe another setting on my shift kit.
