Hey guys

I drove to work the other day with the window down and the music off ( for the first time hehe ) and I noticed when idling my EF will click on and off like the aircon is on. At first I thought that it could be the second thermo kicking in and out but I dont think it is, because the revs drop as it clicks and when it does it I cant see the second thermo kicking in. the cabin fan can be on but the air isnt cold or anything. It does it all the time and does not matter whether the heater/fan is on or not
I drove my girlfriends parents EL and it doesnt do this

Anyone have any ideas?

meh. my AU used to do this if it idled for a while even without the aircon on. i wouldnt be worried too much about it.

Was your aircon on?
Also the p.steering is fitted with an idle up actuator for stopping the motor stalling in situations of slow moving & parking etc..

could be the base idle is set to low

aircon is off
sitting still at a set of lights, not touching anything but the brake pedal
Yeah the idle may be a little low, but its the same click as when the aircon cuts in and out....dunno, its not worrying me just curious

check the codes buddy, or check if the idle speed solenoid is pluged in properly

hey i noticed something similar to this on my mums EL....but it only ever happened when the controls were set to "demist"
