A mate has just bought an ef i was just wondering how hard it would be to convert it to sequential injection using an au ecu since it already has coil packs. Im guessin there is something against it or others would have done it...

I have heard that it would be really hard, but I am not sure what would be involved. The EF and AU computers have the same number of pins, but an AU computer will not run an EF, probably due to different wiring of the injectors. I think that if you had an AU computer and loom that you could do it, assuming that the other electronics in the car (smartlock etc) didnt throw a hissy fit.

The EMS 8860 is capable of sequential injection on a I6, but as of a few months ago they had not released a program that did it. Apparently the sequential programs that they were developing had no advantage over bank fire with respect to power output or fuel economy, so it might not be worth it.
