hey guys just bought a ea series II ghia of my brother inlaw factory 5 speed the problem with the car is it has a tired motor.
igot offered a ef xr6 motor with all accesories and loom for a decent price i would like to know how hard this conversion would be.
was thinking if this is too hard to rebuild the standard motor 20 thou over headwork mild can and dual plane manifold from a later model and a chip and extractors.
anywaz probbably rattling on any opinions suggestions appreciated.

If i were you, Id just fix the current motor up. And maybe give it a few goodies at the same time. The EA's do go quite good in 5spd trim(even cfi). And yours already being MPEFI, your laughing.

Depends what a 'decent' price is though?

If you didnt what to fiddle with wiring and the electronics then just bolt you current intake manifold to the EF motor and it ill drop straight in your EA no trouble at all.

A 5speed XR6 powered EA Ghia would be a bit of a sleeper for sure....
