I have located what appears to be a good deal, an EL engine with 60,000 ks
fitted to my EA for $1200.

Using the existing MPI manifolds etc.

Are there any traps to be aware of and/or tricks to putting the setup together.

The EA has a 3 speed auto box which I want to retain.

Also since I will have a few bucks to spare any easy mods to get good performance
gains on these engines?

what comes with that engine? all accessories? manifolds? etc?

also i send u an email with a contact of mine in adelaide who agreedto help ya out ...

as for performance mod .. just safe the bugs for the time being and see if any bugs appear after a while, such as suspension, transmission etc ... "older" cars sometimes need a few bits and pieces replaced which only show after a few drives

Yes, fitted chanegover, includes using the water pump/pulleys etc. from the EA
engine, (the water pump, radiator and all hoses on the EA were replaced 18/1/04)
also includes 3 month warranty.

I have seen the engine in the car and checked the kays, it's all legit, the car was
a stolen/stripped writeoff, this is thorugh Falcon City at Lonsdale in SA.

Anything I should be careful of ?

mhm interesting ... yea sounds all right .. if u want a second opinion righ there talk to teh guy i send u the number by email ... otherwise go for it ... but can u get em to start the engine before you even start the swap over?
