i know this is a common problem with them, but im wondering if there is an oil addative that will do the job? she's done 230k and just a daily driver so a full rebuild is not worth it. any info would be much appreciated.

Rear main seal, drop the gearbox and stick a new seal in, that should solve the problem.

Otherwise try a stop leak, if it is not too bad, it will stop it :0)

mine had a small leak , i wasnt worried about it.....took it to get the clutch done and the mechanic threw a new one in while the box was out. No big deal....

but as jason said , try stop leak and see how it goes...
