Hey guys, just quickly, who can do engine balances??? and are they worth it???

umm heaps of people do engine balancing... and yes they are definitely worth it... but really depends on how you are going to use the engine, if its just going to be a chugger (low revs) I prob wouldn't do it, but for any high perf engine, I would always.

So any sort of mechanic should be able to sort us out? or just phone around?? how much do there roughly cost??

umm well you gotta pull the engine to bits... wouldn't have a clue how much they cost... and I'd only do it if you were building the motor at the same time, not pulling it out just to do that

balancing is a very good idea if you do any rebuild. 6 cylinder cost about $240 and you have to give them the balancer and flywheel or flex plate.

Ah ok, too late then, new engine already in. didn't think to ask when was getting built.
