My Mates Missus's Telstar has a big problem....

To start with there was oil in the radiator so her pop took the head of "suposedly had it checked" replaced by a new head gasket "Apperently" Not sure if any of this has been done or not....

It also now has coolant in the sump..... when they took the head of three of the chambers were full of oil but one was clean dry...

The radiatorand sump have the same sort of mirky oily substance in them....

Like i said the car never had coolant in the engine at all when they got to it.... just oil in the radiator.?????

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Sounds like head gasket, either that or the water jacket has corroded through into the oilways.
Costs about $50 to have the head faced and $50 to have it cracktested.
Then you have to buy a gasket. I dunno about whether it uses torque-to-yield headbolts, don't think so.
If that doesn't fix it I'd get another block. Maybe you should get a S/H motor and swap her pistons/rings etc into it? Probably wouldn't be much more expensive than having the head checked out IMO.
