Question Engine noise

I have just pulled out my hyd lash adj on my 3.9 multipoint,cleaned them and put the repco kit back on them,put the engine back together etc How long before the tapping noise goes away or should I have put oil in them before I reasembled them?

Should be immediate if you have done it right and the sump oil pick-up is not loose aerating the oil with air.

no not really, mine took about 15mins to quieten up completely, as in i could hear the injectors tick louder than every thing else
