Hey All,

some of you know that recently i fitted a reconditioned 250 xflow to my XF...and was having some dramas with it..well 99% have been solved! There were several vacumn leaks from a few perished hoses leading to the carby and inlet manifold...
The timing was also retarded to the buggery and wasnt set up correctly
also the choke/fast idle/idle speed settings were way WAY off and they were all adjusted...now its running great!

Only thing left is a slight miss at idle...but i suspect the dodgy champion ignition leads and plugs im running are causing that...

hows she go now? any power increase thats noticable? thinking of recon mine. was it worth it in the end?

What would i do without the forums :-D

drift agent...it does feel a bit more powerful and smooth...although the engine is not run in as yet (only 155km old)...so i suspect its still a bit tight..
but the best thing is looking inside the engine bay and seeing no oil/coolant all over the place...and a nice glossy black engine

Also..what plugs/leads do you 250 xflow guys run?? These champions are nothing but crap..
