Thumbs up engine troubles

I just got my licence back and at the same time got extractors and 2.5 exhaust on my XE. Sounds great , very loud and improved perfromance.

However when i cruize in any gear it stutters a bit and when i change down a gear with highish revs it pots and bangs like a really loud milo tin exhaust on a ricer. Is this normal. The muffler was of a v8 if it makes any diffrence?

Are the two problems related? I just did the plugs, oil and and filters.

It ran fine before the extractors and exhaust. Is the setup too big for the engine?

Any ideas?

Thnx chartoo

Re: engine troubles

Pull the cap off the dissy and check there isn't excessive play in the shaft. My old XF did that for about 2 months untill the dissy jammed and sheared all the teeth off the dissy gear.
