Hey guys, I'm hoping you can help me out here. I took the EL for a cruise today and I discovered a real flatspot between about 3100 and 3900 revs. I just put the TE50 snorkel on, could that affect it? Would getting extractors help?

extractors will definitely help.

there is alot of things it could be. what does it pick up like after 3900rpm, and does it rev all the way out...

you could also look at getting a regrind cam into while you are there...

I am not too sure at the exact RPM the runner in the manifold change from long to short... i think it may be at 3800rpm...

Its supposed to be 3800. Perhaps for some reason it is changing early. Tests have shown that 3800 is perfect and any earlyier loses alot of torque. Perhaps the vacuum tube to the runners got knocked off when you were installing the intake snorkel. You may not notice it so much at lower rpm...perhaps...
